Element

We use Element for out-of-game communication and organization. Joining is optional however highly recommended as certain squad activities (such as raid trainings) require upfront RSVPing and joining voice to listen to instructions.

1. Create an account on Matrix

While Element is the app we use Matrix is the communication protocol that handles things in the background.

Note: If you already have a Matrix account you can skip to step 2.

Create an account here using your GW2 account name (without .1234).

2. How to join our space on Element

Once your account is created send me (burgy) your username ingame and I invite your to our Element space.

Note: If your account is not on the default Matrix server I need the complete username (@username:server.xyz)

3. Check out the user guide

If you are new to the platform I recommend taking a look at the Element user guide. It covers one-time actions such as backup keys for encryption and verifying new devices (required to send direct messages to others).
